We’ve Been Asking the Wrong Questions

“Natural science does not simply describe and explain nature; it is a part of the interplay between nature and ourselves; it describes nature as exposed to our method of questioning.”

Werner Heisenberg

In 1687, Isaac Newton published his Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica. In the groundbreaking text, he presented three laws that govern the motion of objects in the physical world. These laws state that:

Every object persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed on it.

Force is equal to the change in momentum per change in time. For a constant mass, force equals mass times acceleration.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
